Akwa United, Enyimba FC progress and Rivers United finish pointless

All is set for the quarter finals of the 2018 AITEO Cup across the Federation. Defending champions, Akwa United emerged from Group A, along side Nasarawa United. Nasarawa United defeated Akwa United 2-0 to emerge winner of Group A on the last day. 

Kwara United and Kano Pillars emerged from Group B. Rivers United finished bottom of the table with no points from three games after losing 1-0 to Abia Warriors in their last game. Kano Pillars pipped Kwara United 2-1 but finished second behind the Harmony Warriors.

In Group C, Rangers and El-kanemi Warriors progressed to the last 8. El-kanemi Warriors defeated Supreme Court 1-0 to finsish on top of the group while Rangers' goalles draw with Sunshine Stars was enough for the Flying Antelopes.

In Gombe, Enyimba went haywire over J. Atete FC, firing 5 past the NNL side to finish top of the table. Katsina United edged out Plateau United 1-0 to finish runner up.
